Library card holders can use the Access PA - Pennsylvania Online World of Electronic Resources Library - from their home computers via the internet. The POWER library allows you to access thousands of full text periodical articles, newspapers, a major encyclopedia, plus photographs, pictures, charts, maps, reference materials for young people and more. You will find materials of interest in most subject areas for all age groups from young children to adults. To access the PA Power materials from home you will need to visit the library for necessary log-in information. ( Please bring your Lehighton library card. )

We have an "Audio Collection" of books on cassettes for both adults and children. The "Friends of the Library" host the Summer Reading Program for students in grades 1 - 4, and tours of the library are available.

Photocopy - Fax services, and interlibrary loan ( when necessary ) are available to local residents.

We have four Gateway Computer Internet Terminals available for public use ( age and agreement to terms required ).

The Library Board, made up of representatives from the community, governs the running of the library.

In addition, the boroughs of Lehighton, Weissport, Parryville; the townships of East Penn, Franklin and Mahoning; the Lehighton Area School District along with donations from local organizations provide additional financial support. State Aide is determined solely on how much is acquired through our local fund raising efforts.
